Supplemental Academy Overview
The Supplemental Academy Training Program is to continue player development offering players the chance to work on their technical ability and game understanding either as a stand alone training program or supplemental to their team environment. The goal of this program is to provide a cohesive supplemental program for players to develop and for some players not already on travel teams it serves as an entryway into a competitive travel team.
This program will have the following elements:
- Practice one or two days a week with dedicated coaches under the oversight of Bo Whitelaw, or Supplemental Academy Director
- Opportunities for players not on travel teams to participate in festival or friendly game opportunities
- Technical and tactical development for players in mixed age cohorts designed to provide players with an appropriate supplemental environment to enhance their progress as a player
- Foster enjoyment and a love of the game in a safe consequence free environment where risk taking is encouraged
