KYLE HAGENBURGER, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Kyle has dedicated over 20 years to player and coach development, with leadership experience across youth, collegiate, and elite club soccer. Currently serving as Technical Director for ALBION BROOKLYN, he oversees all day-to-day operations including staffing, programming, and player pathways. Under his guidance, the club has grown by more than 250% in just over two years, expanded into the Elite Academy League with national playoff teams, and established strong community-based programming for both players and coaches.

At the national level, Kyle works with ALBION’s College Placement and Elite Programs, building a streamlined system that has helped place hundreds of players into college soccer across every level. He continues to emphasize a holistic, “right fit” approach for families navigating the recruiting process while also supporting elite player development through national ID camps, showcases, and pathway initiatives.

Kyle’s coaching background spans more than two decades, from youth clubs to NCAA, NAIA, and junior college programs. He previously served as Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, as well as assistant roles at Menlo College, San Diego Christian College, and Southwestern College. He holds a USSF B License, Director of Coaching and Advanced National Diplomas, and a MBA in Sporting Directorship, along with additional certifications in talent identification, sports psychology, and advanced technical training.

In addition to his soccer leadership, Kyle spent 15 years as a high school teacher and athletic director, giving him unique insight into the connection between academics and athletics. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Chapman University and remains passionate about helping players and families balance education and sport.

Kyle resides in Brooklyn with his wife, and when not traveling for ALBION’s National Elite program, he enjoys time at Brooklyn Bridge Park. His passion for program building, player development, and coach education continues to drive his work with ALBION BROOKLYN.
